- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp molasses
- ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 ½ tbsp fish sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ tbsp oil
- 2 shallots, thinly sliced
- 4 green onion, white parts only, minced
